I choose to serve cooperatives and other mission-driven businesses and non-profits because this is my right livelihood. The way our dominant economy makes goods and delivers services, and thus the way in which many of us currently meet our needs on planet Earth, is the root cause of the current ecosystem destruction and oppression of people (and business as usual is actually not meeting all of our needs). The way humans meet our needs must instead be the root cause of empowerment, dignity for all people, and ecosystem care and regeneration. I aim to turn all of my attention towards those who are creating and building the better world our hearts know is possible.
